Friday the 13th is one of the most sacred days in the world of the Sacred Feminine tradition.

 13 is the most sacred number, being that there are 13 moon cycles in a year and people who bleed, bleed 13 times in a year.

Friday is “Freya Day”, the goddess of love, sensuality, and fertility – also known as Venus. Put the two together and you have a holy day – and a perfect opportunity to do some magic.

 Centuries ago, there was a slow and torturous erasure of the Sacred Feminine, they brainwashed people into thinking that the most sacred day was the unluckiest day. They brainwashed people into thinking that witches are evil even though the root of the word is “wise one” and refers to those who are in tune with the Earth. They brainwashed us to believe that the female Christ, Mary Magdalene was a whore, and Mother Mary was a pious virgin, instead of one of the most powerful Priestesses that has ever lived. The list goes on and on. When the things that are truly sacred are flipped to be evil, things are of us & inside of us, we then think that we are inherently evil.

Within each of us is the spark of magic, an innate connection to the earth, the feeling of joy when we move our bodies, the feeling of power when we connect with the desires, dreams, and potential of our souls. When that fire inevitably comes forward, and we’ve been taught it’s wrong, we put it out because we have become scared of ourselves.

Friday the 13th is not unlucky, it’s the luckiest, and it’s the perfect opportunity to do some magic, to work with the part of you that feels dark and scary. Maybe you have been avoiding her, or maybe she’s been leading the way for a while and it’s time for her to rest. The energy this last couple of months has been really wild. Maybe we say that all the time (lol).

If your old patterns, your shadows, or a part of you that you’re ready to “put to bed” for a while has been up and running the show – this ritual, and this day, is the perfect opportunity to dance with the shadow, let it have its full moment, and then call in the part of you that is ready to lead your life, to create art, to make the decisions, to take action, and to shift behaviors that aren’t working for you anymore.

THE RITUAL

This ritual we will perform for the evening is about connecting with your deep knowing about who you are, what you are calling in, and what is holding you back from your authentic and fullest expression. When we identify what we are calling in, and follow the threads of what has been happening for us (the good ones and the hard ones) – it’s easier to see what is holding us back so that we can really work with that part or pattern. We have to go all the way into it so that we can understand why it’s here now, grieve it, honor it, bring ritual to “releasing” it (for now), and make a plan for how our highest, most aligned self will be leading your life from here.

 So if you have been stuck in a swirl and you’re ready to turn it into a spiral … let’s go in.

Rituals are incredibly powerful for moving energy and helping us cross a threshold. Integration is also a key component we will discuss as well.
